“I have had numerous surgeries requiring physical therapy. My experience with Dani at Back 2 Normal has been the best by far. Her holistic approach, coupled with her experience and knowledge, led to a more positive outcome than I expected following total knee replacement surgery.
I highly recommend Dani and the team at Back 2 Normal.”

“Lisa and Heather are incredible. I see the entire team at B2N and I have never been happier with a PT team. They are so caring and thoughtful in their therapy plan and treat entire body not just injury site. I have seen many physical therapists over the years but none using the cutting edge techniques and tools that they do and the results are evident. Highly recommend Back 2 Normal!”

“Owner Lisa Chase and her staff of therapists are warm and welcoming (not to leave out Buster Brown!) I love the technology they use to help focus on recovery. Lisa introduced me to the concept of HRV and tracking it with an Oura ring. With the data from the ring, they can help you find the most effective way to recover.”

Albert G. Volk

“Let me just say that I have never come across a more knowledgeable, dedicated, hard-working professional in the field of tennis medicine and in the medical profession than Lisa Chase. I have worked very closely with Lisa for about 7 years with the WTA tour. Most of the work has been in evaluating and treating injured tennis professionals and coordinating their medical care and rehabilitation. Also, annual physicals and evaluations were performed with her each year on the Tour. Not only does she have the ability to figure out what’s wrong with the player but most importantly she has the ability to design a comprehensive and specific treatment plan tailored for each individual athlete. However where Lisa really excels is in identifying the “athlete at risk” for injury through various functional assessments that are sports-specific and then designing a personalized exercise program that not only prevents injury but increases performance. I’ve seen her do this with many of the professional athletes on the Tour. She is extremely personable and really has a way with the athletes to gain their trust in her expertise and in turn motivate them to improve their overall performance and prevent injury. Her energy, enthusiasm and passion for excellence are evident in ones everyday encounter with Lisa and I thinks that is why she is so successful in getting great result with her patients.”

Becky Bodine

“I just wanted to say thank you for all of the help you guys gave me. Between you and Kerry, I don’t think I could have had any better of treatment and I’m so thankful for all the time you guys spent with me in the clinic. I just started playing seriously about two months ago. About a month ago, I played my first tournament back. I made it to the finals (through 5 singles matches, as well as doubles) with ZERO back pain (my legs however, were a different story haha). Just after that, I happened to run into an old friend whose husband is a coach at one of the universities in Florida, and through some connections, she matched me up with LSU’s coach. He flew down last week to watch me play, and next week I’m going for my official visit. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be playing again and to have an opportunity to resume the level of tennis I want to play. Just this week, I have played every single day for about an hour and a half and I’m starting to push myself even harder (with footwork, extra exercising, etc). Everyday I am out there, I think of you guys and how, without everything you did for me, I would not be nearly as happy as I am now. I feel lucky beyond belief; I felt so far behind at being able to get back into the game that I almost lost all motivation to play competitively. I feel incredibly comfortable with playing college tennis without worrying about injury. I wouldn’t be as insanely happy as I am now without all of the effort you put into me. I promise it’ll pay off! I’m coming back stronger than ever.”

“I have had the pleasure and honor to know Lisa Chase through my affiliation with Tennis Champion Serena Williams, serving for the last two years as her performance conditioning and nutrition consultant. I was asked by Ms. Williams to interface with her WTA Sports Medicine Team, which Ms. Chase served in said capacity. Having been involved with pro sports at the world-class level for the last 28 years, I have encountered numerous physical therapists in every sport. It is rare that you can find an individual, such as Ms. Chase, who not only is at the pinnacle of her physical therapy profession, but also someone who can see what I call the ” vision” to assist their highly skilled athlete client to reach new heights of potential. Ms. chase is the epitome of such an individual. If she can get the best in the sport of pro tennis to be better, just imagine what she can do for the average person just trying to attain a higher quality of life through rehabilitation. Lisa Chase can and will be passionate and successful for herself and her patient.”

Stanton L. Longenecker

“I have known Lisa Chase as a physical therapist for the past fifteen years. She was originally hired as a spine therapist for the St. Vincent’s Sports Medicine Program, Jacksonville, Florida. During that time she distinguished herself with excellent clinic outcomes and was invited to join the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour (Professional Women’s Tennis Tour), which moved her away from Jacksonville. After her departure, I never lost contact and, in fact, I have sought her out over the years and sent patients to her wherever she was. Without fail she came to a correct solution for each and every one of them. I recall one of the more recent referrals was a good friend who at the time was taking in excess of eight Tylox a day to manage his back pain. Within a week of seeing Lisa he was down to one Tylox a day, and now is currently free of all drugs.”

“Lisa Chase is a fantastic physical therapist. In my 15 years as a medical director for a WTA Tour Event, I had the opportunity to work regularly with Lisa – her abilities as a physical therapist has been unparalleled. She is an outstanding clinician, and had a great rapport with the players, coaches and doctors. She is a joy to be around. Professionally, her skills as a physical therapist are superb. Working with athletes of various sports and levels, I wish she would come out west to work here at Stanford with our athletes. She understands the athlete, regardless of sport, and has the skills to get to players back to their sports quickly and safely!!!”

“I am a 20 year veteran on the WTA Tour still competing at the highest level, one of the reason I have been able to maintain that level is due to the incredible physiotherapy I received over the years from Lisa Chase. Lisa is a dedicated and thoughtful therapist, who takes the time to not only to get to know your body and what makes it function at it best, but also, gets to know you as a person. She is personable and professional and highly skilled at what she does. I highly recommend Lisa with any injury or chronic pain. She is one of the best.”

“I worked with Lisa for several years as part of the medical team at The Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Lisa was fabulous to work with and is greatly missed by us all – doctors and players alike. She has fantastic energy, precision and a genuine commitment to excellence in patient care. She is a skilled therapist who is very comfortable as part of a multidisciplinary team. We additionally worked together developing a better system to track players and their medical issues during which Lisa demonstrated her tact, determination and insight into complex systems. Her departure from professional tennis is everyone else’s gain!”

“I’m a professional tennis player from Russia, Moscow and I started when I was 7 years old. My family moved to USA 4 years ago. I found out about Back 2 Normal when I had a foot injury. I went to few doctors but it just got worse. A few days after, my fitness coach gave me Lisa Chase’s phone number. He recommended her as the best physiotherapist he ever met. Back 2 Normal helped me a lot with my foot and also my shoulder injury. We worked together for 9 months and I went back on the Tennis Tour healthier and stronger. Back 2 Normal helped me to believe in myself even when it was hard to push myself to the limits. They helped me to understand that I should take time not only to work hard but also to take care of my body, to rest when it’s needed and to live without stress. Be happy and enjoy life.”

Laurie Wisotsky

“Back 2 Normal has played a huge roll in my journey to being responsible. Not only have they helped to keep me injury free by improving my strength, but they have also helped me with my own self-discovery as an athlete. Lisa and her team helped me realize how important it is to have a positive attitude while working towards my dreams. I have learned from her that to do that successfully, it helps to be surrounded with people who believe in you, who support you, and want to be there for you. So, I make a conscious effort everyday to surround myself with the right people. I would not be as successful as I am or started using my recovery nutrition, if not for contributions from the B2N team!”

Chris Murphy

“I first found Back 2 Normal in 2011 while I was playing for Clearwater Chargers Soccer Academy. Lisa Chase and her team came out to my preseason to put us through a Y-balance test and teach us how to properly warm up for competition. Later that season I began having lower back trouble that plagued me since my freshman year. It kept me sidelined for an extended period of time. I began going to different pain specialist and physical therapist and nothing seemed to help until I decided to try out Back 2 Normal. The rest is history from there within a few weeks I was back on the field and within a few months my body began feeling better than before I had my injuries. Since that point I went on to play division 1 collegiate soccer where more I began to have more injuries piling up. I again decided to transfer back home and see Lisa to try and get me back on the right track with my soccer career. Again she worked magic I was back playing college soccer within a year. Now that my playing career is over I have decided go back to Back 2 Normal to fix all the imbalance that have caused me trouble with injury since I was in high school so I can pursue competitive powerlifting and start building longevity. The Back 2 Normal team has helped in my journey by how well they all communicate with each other. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the front desk who knows exactly what you’re in for that day which makes it very easy for me to be able to jump from physical therapy to a MELT session all in one morning. This has allowed me to truly accelerate my healing process and begin rebuilding my movement patterns. Since starting back up with Back 2 Normal last month I have already seen massive gains in my weightlifting by getting a new personal best in my power clean by 35 pounds and have increased my 3 rep max bench press from 295 to 330. This shows how much potential they have unlocked in me by retraining my movement patterns and there is no doubt this is due to the time I have been putting in with Back 2 Normal. My movements feel stronger and more fluid the ever!”

Margaret Rush

“My neck and shoulder pain was rather chronic in nature. To this day, I can’t quite understand how I got in such a mess. For three years I dealt with left scapular pain that seemed to grab my neck as well as the muscles in my shoulder and under my left arm. I spent a lot of the time lying down on the floor to try and relax my muscles. Simple household tasks and family outings were difficult. I found a little relief from powerful pain medication that I would let myself take only once a week to avoid addiction. I saw some very good orthopedic doctors who were uncertain where the problem originated and I did several rounds of physical therapy that tended to help a little at first, but then my pain returned as before. The pain was constant and I was ready to try some risky neck surgery, but then a determined physiatrist sent me to one last physical therapist, Lisa Chase. Lisa began a series of manual therapy treatments and functional exercises to address my entire body that were very different from what I had experienced in previous physical therapy sessions. Very slowly, I began to make some prolonged improvement. After 6 months, I could perform daily tasks and go out to dinner with my family without any medication. I am still working on strengthening certain muscle groups that are very stubborn, but my life is much better. I would not have believed I could have improved from a situation that was over 3 years old, but I did, and I have Lisa to thank for that.”
