Charlene joined the Back 2 Normal team in February 2015, bringing her expertise as a Pilates and Posture Specialist. She offers private, personalized sessions focused on helping clients regain strength after injury and improve their overall movement patterns. Trained through both STOTT Pilates and Balanced Body, with certifications in Injury and Special Populations, Charlene combines her knowledge of Pilates (Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels) and functional movement tools like MOTR and CoreAlign to deliver tailored care for each client’s needs. She is also a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and holds additional certifications as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and FMS Level 1 Practitioner.
Charlene’s personal philosophy is rooted in the idea that small, intentional movements can lead to significant changes, helping clients reach their goals and get “back to normal.” She focuses on creating sessions that prioritize proper movement, client education, and gradual progress, empowering her clients to build strength and confidence in their bodies.
Charlene is driven by her ability to encourage clients to appreciate where they are today while trusting in their body’s ability to gain strength and reach their goals through thoughtful, deliberate movements. She is guided by her core values: gratitude for her clients’ trust, integrity in every session to ensure proper and purposeful movement, and empathy to meet her clients where they are and celebrate every step of progress.
Charlene enjoys traveling with her husband and son, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and experimenting in the kitchen to create healthy, delicious meals for family and friends. Walking through downtown St. Petersburg is one of her favorite ways to recharge and find calm energy to fuel her days. She loves the Armchair Experts podcast with Dax Shepard and often visits Downshiftology.com for culinary inspiration.
